Most trucks slow down when the trail gets rough.
This one speeds up.
Built around a Camburg long travel suspension system and a full King shock package, Raptor B8 was designed with one goal in mind: covering rough terrain faster and with more confidence than ever before.
As the owner puts it:
"The race truck build was pretty unexpected. I mean, I always wanted a long travel setup but I didn't expect to actually do it. With the beefiness of the Camburg upper and lower control arms plus the size of the shocks I've been pretty comfortable with pushing my previous limits knowing that the truck can handle and take on whatever I throw at it."
That's exactly what this build is all about.
While most people associate long travel trucks with Baja, endless desert roads, and high-speed terrain, Alberta offers its own unique challenges. Rocky trails, washouts, mountain terrain, and rough forestry roads all demand a truck that can absorb punishment and keep moving.
This build was created to do exactly that.
At the heart of the truck is a Camburg Race Series 3.5" Long Travel Kit paired with King 2.5 Adjustable Reservoir Coilovers, King 3.0 Triple Bypass Rear Shocks, and King Hydraulic Bump Stops. Combined with Deaver leaf springs, Camburg spindles, and a Camburg bed cage, the suspension package completely transforms how the truck handles rough terrain.
The wider stance is complemented by Fiberwerx fiberglass fenders and bedsides, giving the truck the aggressive race-truck appearance to match its capability.
Power is transferred through Nitro 5.29 gears and Maxxis Razr M/T tires mounted on Stealth Custom Series BR6 wheels, helping keep the truck responsive both on and off-road.
Protection comes from a C4 Fabrication Hybrid bumper, OK Expedition skid plates, an Off Camber Fab rear bumper, and a Smittybilt X2O winch equipped with Factor 55 recovery gear.
Lighting duties are handled by a combination of Diode Dynamics and Rigid Industries products, ensuring visibility remains excellent whether it's a late-night trail run or an early morning start.
The result is a truck that looks right at home in Baja but spends its time exploring Alberta's backcountry.
And according to the owner, it's only encouraged him to push farther.
"The Baja look and culture behind this build don't often show the capabilities of true trail running, but being here in Alberta I hope to push this truck through more and more wild trails."
We're excited to see exactly where those trails lead.
Yeeew!!
