Early in 2025, Arctic Trucks North America reached out to KRAVE Automotive to support building AT44s in Canada, and we didn’t hesitate to say yes. This build marks Canada’s first Arctic Trucks AT44, purpose-built for CUPANI Metals Corporation, a mining operation in Northern Quebec.
Designed to operate where roads don’t exist, this AT44 effectively replaces the need for a helicopter, allowing fuel and supplies to be transported safely and efficiently from base camp to remote mining sites. When speaking with Brian, CUPANI’s President, it was clear just how impactful this truck would be for their operation.

Click HereBased on a Ford F-350, the truck received Arctic Trucks’ full AT44 conversion, including suspension, extensive body modifications, custom fenders, three-piece aluminum wheels, and massive 44” Nokian Tyres tires. It’s also equipped with a CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System). The 7.3L gas engine paired with factory 4.30 gearing has no issue turning the large tires, and we added a front limited-slip differential to further improve traction in extreme conditions.
Many of the components on this build came from trusted partners we work closely with, but one of the major highlights was designing and installing custom Elka Suspension. While the truck may appear subtle at first glance, extensive aluminum body modifications are hidden behind the fenders — making this our first major aluminum body project. Thanks to Matt’s expertise as a B-pressure welder and Kevin’s leadership throughout the build, the results speak for themselves.
We’re incredibly proud of our team and excited to see this AT44 head north to work. Our next Arctic Trucks project is already lined up: a Land Cruiser 250 AT37 scheduled for March.
