How It
Started
KRAVE Automotive was built from a passion for exploration, capability, and the vehicles that make adventure possible. Founder Ryan Quiring grew up in Alberta around dirt bikes, ATVs, camping, and off-road vehicles, and turned that into a career through SAIT’s automotive program as a Red Seal Journeyman Technician and Toyota Master Technician. What began as building capable Toyota 4x4s became the shop. Vill Van Der Merwe later joined as partner and Sales & Marketing Manager, bringing a background in geology, photography, and outdoor adventure that started in the Kalahari Desert and eventually carried across Canada through off-roading, mountaineering, camping, and backcountry exploration.
What
We Do
We plan and outfit vehicles around how and where you travel, from suspension and armour to power, storage, and sleeping systems. Licensed technicians handle everything from a single bumper or rooftop tent to a full build, plus the maintenance that keeps a loaded rig reliable once it leaves the bay. Everything we sell online is gear we install and use ourselves, shipping across Canada with the same advice you would get standing in the shop.
Vehicles
We Build
Toyota and Lexus platforms are the core of what we do and where our deepest experience sits. We also build and service other capable platforms for customers heading the same direction.

From a couple of employees in a single industrial bay to a team of 25 in an 18,000 square foot facility, KRAVE Automotive has grown into one of Western Canada’s leading off-road and overland shops.
The KRAVE Krew
Our own vehicles run the same gear we sell, in the same terrain our customers travel. Every summer the shop, the crew, and a convoy of customer builds head into the backcountry together. What holds up out there comes back to the shop floor as a recommendation, and what does not never makes the list.
See The KrewToday, KRAVE continues to build vehicles designed to explore further, travel deeper into the backcountry, and make the journey just as important as the destination.
