This 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner falls firmly into the second category.

When Johnny brought the truck to us, the goal was simple: build a 4Runner that could handle difficult trails, perform exceptionally well off-road, and still look just as good pulling into a parking lot as it does climbing a mountain pass.

The end result speaks for itself.

The foundation of the build starts with a complete ELKA Suspension setup featuring 2.5 DC Reservoir Coilovers and Rear Shocks. Paired with Dobinsons Upper Control Arms, Dobinsons Rear Coil Springs, and Timbren Active Offroad Bump Stops front and rear, the truck rides incredibly well while maintaining excellent control on rough terrain.

To give the truck the stance it deserves, we paired a set of Volk Racing TE37XT wheels in bronze with 35-inch Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 tires. The combination works perfectly with the green paint and gives the truck an aggressive but balanced look.

With larger tires comes the need for supporting drivetrain upgrades, so Nitro 4.88 gears were installed to bring back performance and keep the truck feeling responsive both on and off-road.
